I stayed in this place for 3 nights and the experience was good, however there are couple of things you might want to know before committing to this hostel.

The room was clean and I had no issue with it whatsoever. My room had a shower, however no toilet, there is one toilet per floor.

Below are some factors to consider, before committing:

1. This place does not accept any credit cards! Be ready to pay in cash, there are several ATM outside of the hostel.
2. The location of this place is very central and the noise from the street is very loud! There are many cars, people were very loud and yelling until 3am.
3. Rooms don’t have AC, therefore the windows had to be open for air circulation, that is where you hear all the noise and also smell all the cigarette smoke from the street.

I ended up asking for a fan and closing the windows, that helped.

If you looking for the cheapest please to stay and you don’t mind the loud noise from the street then this place is good. However, if you are light sleeper and want a quiet place, this is not it. I would highly encourage you to to look for a different place to stay at.

The cleanliness level could be higher. It was seen that some trash and items were not picked from previous clients, like under the bed. Dust around and some spots all around the floor.
No breakfast available. Very loud streets outside, clubs, cars. No air conditioning is available, you sleep in the heat +30 during the summer.
No normal soap/shampoo/disinfection is available in rooms.
No card payments, only by cash.

From the food side:
It is super centrally located, 2 minutes walking from the main train station. The price is comparatively cheap for the center of Munich.

This is a great option if you're looking for a budget accommodation. Our room had a shower (which dripped), but we had a shared toilet on the floor. The room was sufficiently sized, the bed was not comfortable, and the internet was slow and frequently disconnected. Nevertheless, it was significantly less expensive than other hotels. The staff was among the friendliest I've encountered. It had a proper breakfast included, which we enjoyed each morning. The location is on a street with several strip clubs. There are many food options nearby as well. And it's situated pretty close to the Oktoberfest grounds. It's hard to appropriately assign stars to such a budget place so I settled on 4 stars because they had a good value for the price. I will also add that I would stay here again.

Low prices, comfortable rooms, the baths and toilets needs more cleaning. The receptionist lady is a very communicative and very kind person. Free WiFi available everywhere in the hotel. You can get key for your room, you can go what ever you want with it.

‘Excellent location, great breakfast, decent rooms, cheapest you could find in Munich’

➖ WiFi is awful! Only works good near reception and periodically totally disappears.
Every room on one floor have the same key, so better don't leave valuable things in your room.

Guesthouse is in bad neighborhood of the town... There are many shady people around and there are 3 or 4 striptease bars across the street. Guesthouse is really close to Central station of the town and I wouldn't say that someone would actually do any harm to you, but if you are a girl travelling alone, it wouldn't be comfortable at all in such a surrounding.

➕ Breakfast was great, there was variety of choice. It was really close to Hauptbahnhof (main station), from where every part of town was easily accessible (via U-bahn, S-bahn or trams). Big supermarkets, fast food stores and restaurants are all under 10 minutes away. Price/quality ratio is pretty good, so this hostel is more suitable for lower budget guests who wants to stay in decent private room.

I would highly recommend double room with bathroom. This room was totally fine, without any defects, compared to what I read in review section about other rooms.

Stayed here for Oktoberfest Sept 2014. The lady who runs the breakfast ect, is awesome. Really friendly place, clean and close to everything. For the price a shower in the room and bath down the hall its worth it. Its small so you are not sharing the WC with many people. Would totally stay here again!
