Very close to the train station, which is a plus, also a lot of noise from the street. Room door cannot be closed bc of the bed, no ac.

The hotel is really near the central station. The area is not great but it’s safe and extremely well connected. The room I stayed at was clean and had everything you might need on a short stay (hair dryer, mini fridge, tv and complementary coffee/tea with a kettle). The receptionist was friendly and welcomed my puppy without any problems. Totally recommended.

PLEASE DONT CHOOSE HOTEL S16 (the worst in Munich in term of safety)
When I checked out, I put my backpack for storage at the counter and the staff promised to look after it, however it was stolen by the homeless people on the street. I have lost around 650 Euro personal belongings, including my passport, wallet and laptop. In general, they have the following problem.
1.Honesty- They lied to me at first when they said they just gave my bag to another wrong customer without telling me the truth given that they know my backpack is stolen already.
2.Ridiculouness- They only discover my bed is stolen after 4 hours when I return back to the hotel at 5pm. According to the CCTV, it was stolen by a guy at 1pm and the counter had no staff for a very long time(there is always no one at the counter). If I return back at night, then I believe they will only discuss if my bags are stolen that time.
3. Irresponsibility- I requested compensation for my lost items, they just superficially and officially said they are processing and asked me to wait. However after 12 days of waiting, they still did not get back to me. I have whatsapped the manager and emailed the hotel, and have no replies. They are hiding from me and escaping from the responsibility.
So please don’t choose this hotel as it is surrounded by a lot of homeless people that can steal your personal belongings and the owner and managers are very irresponsible.

We stayed here to attend Oktoberfest. Its a 10min walk to the Weisen grounds which was perfect. Price was great for the location. Americans will complain about the size of the room, but its Germany! I've been to a few countries in Europe and the room size is in line with most I've had. The bed was large and very comfortable. Our room did need a little maintenance (fresh paint, patched mouldings, etc) and we triggered the circuit breaker once. But the staff was quick and courteous in remedying the problem. Street noise was a slight issue for us, so ask for a non-street facing room if you can. The neighborhood is active till 3am or so and the garbage pickup was at 6am so you've got about 3hrs of quiet. Speaking of the neighborhood, it is a bit eclectic, with small shops, hotels, and cabarets intertwined. People were friendly and we didn't feel unsafe at any point, but its worth nothing that the dancers stand at the doorways. Overall we were happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Central location and cheap, which sounds like everything you need for a short stay. The rooms are simple and clean.
However, I was very disappointed with the lack of attention from staff despite me raising very easy fixable problems: not working safe box and running water in the toilet. Although they have eventually fixed the safe box on the last day of my stay, nobody cares about running water - clearly the cleaner must see those things too and should be able to report them on time?
Beware of the red lights entertainment next door and on the opposite side of the street, which makes your ability to sleep quite questionable.
No lounge or cafe downstairs to hang out.
