It is a great experience of walking with so much beautiful view to the castle, old Bridge and river. And it is with beautiful birds singing and smell from flowers. I recommend to everyone who visit Heidelberg for not long time as it is the best opportunity to see all town during short time.

Incredible views of the city! The path is a bit steep going up and it's cobblestone, so wear proper shoes. Worth the effort and I'm so glad I had the time to do this. There were places to stop along the way so you could rest and take in the views.

Take a stroll and contemplate your very finitude as the existentialists did. This is a beautiful and easy hike up the mountain. Extra points for starting up the way at sunrise. Gorgeous sunrise across the river.

Definitely physically challenging, the view from the top is nice ( you get a panoramic view of the city) but the view from the castle is a lot better.

Beautiful walk with great views over the Heidelberg.. We walked up "snake way" which was quite steep so take it easy. There is an easier way if you enter from the west bridge.. It's worth the effort..
