The lovestone, as it says lovers can attach a lock to this stone. The stone is actually full and may be there is no place for any more locks. It looks stunning with sunrise and evening views towards castle and Main Heidelberg gate. The best part is, through this stone, the castle can be framed.

Interesting attraction on the westerns bank of the river Neckar. If you come with your loved one, you can attach your love lock there (of you find some space as it is quite overloaded already).

It is curious to find the love padlocks hanging on a chain on this stone here and not on the bridge as it usual in many cities, but this surely saves the bridge.

The "Heidelberger Liebesstein" is a small sandstone monument located on the north side of the Old Bridge. Couples in love can fix an engraved love lock there to seal their eternal love. This spot offers nice views of the castle and the river.

It's designed for lovebirds, and you can add a lock to the thousands that are already here, and read the poetry written on it. Not to be a party pooper, but it's kind of in a weird place isn't it?

However, something strange that happened was that a string of wedding cars that drove by started honking when they passed this area. Could be the bridge, or this little structure. It just made it a little stranger.

Too bad it was so misty on the day we passed by. Otherwise te view here towards old city and the castle should be superb
