Friday, early evening, 6ish I'd say. Not many people out yet. Somehow I still walked right past the bar, even though it was my destination. After back-tracking to find the non-descript facade and enormous windows, I peaked in. No one was there except one man. I walked in. He looked up with a curriousness because the first door I tried was locked, I was that fool. Hello he said. "Not many people here eh?" I replied. He just nodded his head and smiled.
It was now a bit more obvious, this lone gentleman was the bartender. I told him to pour me something dark, heavy and brown. What he concocted was delicious.
The subtle and stylish interior, chill hip hop paying in the background, and comfy chairs were on point. The cool view outside onlooking the Soviet-era government building of Hamburg was just a plus.
This may be my favorite cocktail bar in Hamburg.
