We came here for lunch today. We told our server that we needed to be in and out in 40 minutes. He suggested the Wiener schnitzel which is what my husband ordered. I ordered the garden salad. His Wiener schnitzel was huge and delicious as well as the German potato salad. The salad was good too. Also, the food came to us in less than 10 minutes! I would highly recommend this place!

Overall the food was very good. Apparently they are well known for their ridiculous huge Schnitzel. The service was very good as well until the end where were presented the bill. The waiter wrote the amount of tip he wanted on the bill and straight out asked for it as tips aren't included. Well, yes, it's Germany. There is no tip or just a gesture of appreciation. We had planned on leaving a tip but because of this we didn't and the experience left a bad taste.

They advertise mushroom season. Don't have 80% of the mushroom menu. We ordered what they did have. We received completely tasteless defrosted mess if the chanterelles.
When complained to the waiter we got a response "schade" and no action or sorry.

I do not recommended!!!

Great service(especially if you consider that it's Berlin!) and good food. It is however expensive so I could not easily recommend a visit. If you are a tourist, or if you think your life deserves eating the right German food in Berlin, this is probably the best choice.

Always a pleasure to be at this brasserie with good craftsmanship cooking and the appropriate choice of wines. A historic place too, with very professional service.

Mushroom strudel and mushroom risotto were both fine. As a next course, we had ordered two main dishes. The Schnitzel (first main course) was unsatisfactory: the breading was sand-like, the meat was thin and tasteless, in short: it was no Schnitzel. The second main course (Kalbsmedaillons with mushrooms) was excellent - but our order did for some mysterious reasons not make it into the kitchen so that we received it with a forty minutes delay, after reminding two waiters twice. An excuse for the mistake has never been received, quite on the contrary, both waiters were quite snappy about our inquiry. The wine was good, the restaurant lovely, but the poor service disappointed us. There are other good restaurants in town!

Food was tasty, but the service awkward. Seemingly friendly waiter who then openly and quite rudely expressed his dissatisfaction with the 6 euros tips we gave him. At a point, service was ridiculously slow: 6 waiters standing behind the counter, seeing but not responding to our waving…
