We tried two of the wines from their brief wine list. Neither would I drink again. The food was okay, but rather unimaginative. Service was pleasant (by Berlin standards), but mediocre. As noted by others, a good place for a late afternoon coffee or beer, but that's all.

Very nice location. Staff ok. But breakfast is overpriced. Very small portion and not fresh (pieces of fruits from the day before, cheap yogurt, Kellogg’s corn flakes ). Drinks are ok. The cheese isn’t tasty and too greasy. They forgot to bring us our forks, knives and spoons.

Nice location and service but the breakfast was very touristy. The scrambled eggs were ok but missing flavor. The bred rolls came from the fridge and not a backery. The price was ok.

Perfect location to catch the afternoon sun, enjoy coffee and cake while at Gendarmenmarkt while supporting this institutions strong mission to serve.
