The restaurant was busy with a vibrant atmosphere, but service was efficient. My smoked salmon flanmkuchen was enjoyable—light and crisp, though the smoky flavour was a bit too mild for me. My husband’s schnitzel was decent and everything on his plate was attractively golden. However, be aware that the extra mayo offered to you isn’t on the house. Overall, it was a nice experience.

A cozy restaurant / dessert place to sit down and enjoy after touring the Nuremberg castle / going around Nuremberg. Must tries are the apple pie (generous with apples!) and the small pancakes thing (as shown in photo). There is no english menu but the staff is more than happy to translate for you, you just need to ask.

I’ve had almost everything on their menu and it is fantastic. If you can bare the somewhat longer wait time when it’s busy, you will have an amazing meal.

Service felt super awkward here! They didn’t try to make any conversation and I felt a bit bad asking for anything I needed. The food was alright!

Unfortunately not many places open after 21 in this city.
+ ok fries
+- Place rather average/overall
+- burger no direa afterwards but also not good
- prices average
- curry wurst not recommended

Will not visit again.

On a rainy day I went here on my first date with my not yet girlfriend and she really liked the atmosphere there. There were a lot of people and it was a bit loud but that made it less awkward for us like you know when you're on your first date, you both are shy, don't know what to say and then theres just awkward silence? I overheard people talking about how they got their scars and since I was really shy and didn't knew what I should do I asked her that. We ended up talking about our childhood for hours. It was one of the best dates I've ever had, shout out to the group of students, you saved our date :D. The Alex has a special place in my heart and I'll definitely visit it again with my girl!
