Location is good its across of Spatenhaus Opera. The setting upstairs is a beautiful refined Bavarian style which is perfect for fine dinning. They have an outdoor area where you can go more on casual. Elevated Traditional Bavarian food. Price point its a bit expensive compare to other restaurant but definitely worth it.

What a lovely gem of a restaurant! Across from the Opera, Spatenhaus is conveniently placed and offers a great view both inside and out. The staff was very nice and we were lucky to get a table without a reservation (the place got busy really fast afterwards). The pumpkin soup is divine, the obatzler was great and the veal was cooked perfectly. Cool it off with a beer and you'll be set for a nice walkcafterwards.

It’s my third time here, OCT 29th. The sun still warms the outside tables so one can enjoy the beautiful piazza. This time I had the Pumpkin ???? soup with pumpkin seed oil and it was great, with a side of Weißwurst.
Service was slow and chaotic but not the fault of my lovely server, some manager did not schedule enough people for the day, my server took care of all the tables outside alone for a while.

Sucesso great experience, the waitress was fantastic, the food was very good and the beer was great!!! I recommend without a doubt!!!!

Amazing food, amazing beer in an amazing location.. just in front of the Residenz museum in the center of Munich.
I had the veil meatballs and my boyfriend the pork knuckles... so delicious!
Our waiter was fantastic!!
I would give 10 star if I could

We ate upstairs at the fine dining restaurant, but it was still pretty casual, not stuffy at all. They had a nice wine selection, we had a great burgundy for a very affordable price. The menu was a mix of Bavarian and French dishes. I had Bavarian duck and my wife had French style prawns both were very good. The waiter was attentive but not hovering, he allowed us to finish our wine and watch the people outside in the platz overall a very lovely experience

Good quality food. Quality service from staff but didn't get my change back after paying with Euros. Overall a decent place to eat. Very expensive though
