Really nice self service place. You get a card when you enter, find a place at a table and order from different areas (pizza, pasta, asian). Pay at the end when you leave. Went there with a bunch of coleagues and had a really good time. I had pizza and was quite tasty. Beer also good. Service quite fast, not too much queuing even if place was quite full

This restaurant is at the Gasteig . Easily accessible by S bahn and tram.
Menu: a wide range of selection is possible. Italian, Asian and German. There are 4 different booths for Pizza, Pasta, Asian food mainly Thai and a well furnished bar. I have been there several time and tried Pasta Arabiata, Pasta vergine, Wok vegetables with Jasmin rice and quite a few alcoholfree drinks like Ipanema, Soda-mint etc. I enjoyed eating there both sitting indoor and outdoor.
However, I didn’t like the service much. It is confusing for new people to know how to order and the chefs who are in the live kitchen are a bit rude.

This is a fairly large restaurant with a unique tracking method for ordering. You get a card which is used when you order drinks and food. Technically there is no cash as you pay at the end of your meal to the value which has been added to your card. The card has a limit of 50 Euro. You will then be informed if you go over the limit.

The Asian food was standard and nothing to rave about. Pizza over was broken so we could not eat from here.

Overall an enjoyable evening. We were a fairly large group of 14. Table was large enough for all of us.

Our last visit was a hard disappointment. Neither the chefs nor the cashier were interested in the customers in any way. The cooks insulted
clients for not knowing how the order process works while themselves weren't able to cook the simplest dishes. Not to mention the prices compared what you get. I remember the Gast from back in the days where it was a restaurant of high standards and a pleasant atmosphere but this is long gone. For everyone interested in having a delicious bite, there are many small locations around with appropriate service and modest prices.

love to sit in the sun on the terrace but this place needs some better management. Food is not bad for being "fast" actually pizza is better here than across the street or behind the gasteig. The gentleman making the pizzas is the only one who is friendly. He has worked there a long time. The rest seemingly hate their jobs, which is a sentiment the customer can feel too.

Going to a place where you have to queue to get your food is... well... an acquired taste.

Had two bad service experiences here: once they literally forgot my pizza, but when they realized it was on the house, so very fair. The other time, I just wanted coffee and the guy serving it was managing - in a very orderly way - to pick a fight with every customer including me. He was clearly having a bad day, but it still ruined the experience.

Take a card on entrance, pay when you leave kind of place. Kitchen is in a dining room, so you see what a chef does, and eventually smell. I used to come there every Sunday for my games but now they won't let me to reserve tables for the group and we have gone to another venue.
Generally the palace is good for kids, offers some asian food and pizza, variety of drinks.
