This place has tried to take advantage of me and my party on the last two times I was there. I have stopped going because they're dishonest. The bartender (female) has tried to get away with asking for 25% tips on the last two visits. She says this is normal and I can't help but feel she's trying to take advantage of a tourist. I thought that finding an 80's bar would be a fabulous way to spend an evening but I can't tolerate being lied to. It's a shame people can't make it on their own merits. ** edit: OK, I have to edit my post. This place still tries to rip off tourists but OMG I had soooo much fun there on Tuesday, 25 February, 2020. It was Fasching celebration and this place was rocking. Their DJ, while not very personable, played great music and everyone was having a blast. Unfortunately one of the bar staff felt the need to brings things to our table that we hadn't ordered and actually thought we'd pay. So, go to this place and have fun. Just watch your wallet. I still love it!! 80's BABY!! I upped my star rating to 3.

Englishmen abroad...'drunken on dunkel'. We called into Kirr Royal during our extended stag-do weekend and it was SUPERB. It's located a stone's throw from our hotel. We were welcomed unreservedly and spent a hugely enjoyable four hours there with a largely local clientele enjoying mostly 80s music and recreating typically 80s drinks - at one point the barman invited me around the bar to create my own beverage as my command of German didn't quite allow me to outline its content...legend. Would highly recommend for an authentic outing in a local, friendly u0026 welcoming bar. 5*

Had a lovely time with my German friends. The dj puts German and international music. It reminded me of the Oktoberfest ????

Beer like urine. Boring place. Security very stupid and aggressive. Don't go there.
