We stopped at this campsite with my friend during our travels through Germany. Toilets and shower are nicely cleaned and there is also an option to wash your clothes in washing mashine. Would recommend this camp to anyone who is passing by.

Really nice and quite place in the hearth of Hamburg with all the facilities you need. We’ve travelled through the whole Germany, visited a lot of camps but this is still one of the best ones. If you need a place to stay in Hamburg I highly recommend this one.

If you look for a place for 1 night it is OK. It's near to the centre of Hamburg. Place to park is small. Sanitary is clean and modern. You will hear a lot of traffic because its near a busy road. Only 30 places to park there.

A very small campsite suited more for those in camper vans rather than pitching a tent, particularly as there were no cooking facilities on the site. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful (I only spoke German with her so I can't comment on her English). Electricity was available with a suitable connection, which I had brought with me.

It's very close to public transport for getting to the city centre, should you prefer not to drive.

Were I to go camping again around that area, I would consider looking elsewhere first - preferably a site with cooking facilities and less favoured towards camper vans.

Buchholz is basically a lane with parking for campers and caravans on either side. I did see some tents here, but set up on the gravel where the campers park. The toilets, showers, waste disposal, washing up facilities etc is first class. Spotless in fact. Travel to the city is easy as the bus stop is a 5 minute walk which takes you to the excellent underground system.

As central as you can wish in a major city. Buses every 10 minutes to the metro and about 30 minutes to downtown. Nice clean bu0026b with a camping on their backyard. No space for tents or tables outside but safe and quiet!

Very convenient situation for us, as our daughter lives on Kieler Straße. Basic but adequate facilities. Not much space between the campers. In terms of value for money, much prefer the Stellplatz on Grüner Deich.
