I ate olive oil pasta and my friends ate flammkuchen with Zwebel and Specks and thus spaghetti with meat. Thus, the beer is great and traditional. The staff was nice!

It is a traditional food restaurant so highly recommend to have a meal there!

Loved this place in Freiburg. Went here more than once during a weekend stay. Staff is so lovely and you will get a lot of food. Traditional Baden-food which was a pleasure to try out!

Really nice Pub in Freiburg city center. I had a Kirschwasser. Outside we cannot sit after 23 because of Law restrictions but inside was really nice too. Guys at bar were nett und sympatisch

We searched for a nice place to eat on a Sunday noon in Freiburg and found out this amazing pub on Tripadvisor. We were amazed! Being situated next to Martinstor, it offered great service. We had a tasty flammkuchen and drank local beer; the prices were very good, too. Really recommend it!

Atmosphere at Schlappen is great! Yhe young waitress was friendly, willing to help, and a joy as she served the lamb skewers with lots of fried potato and beer. Do not miss going to Schlappen if you're in Freiburg - a special trip is also worthwhile!

Large (men) portions of food, good for sharing or when you're hungry. Nice old theatre posters, toilets are clean and WOW! I just really love this place.
