Hotel Plaza Düsseldorf

The hotel is ok, but the stench in the building is horrible. I guess it used to be a smoking place but they can't get rid of the odor.
Unlike what is advertised, breakfast was not available in the morning due to technical problems.
However, management is totally not flexible. They refused to let me check out early despite the fact that I gave them ample time to book it again. I tried to reason with them as I was travelling for business but they stood their ground. Well they may have won two nights worth, but they lost a frequent customer to Dusseldorf, for life.
Needless to say that the word is out as far as business goes.
Never coming back here again.

Trash Hotel, avoid booking with them. We had strikes in France and my trains were cancelled. Called to cancel my reservations, they said they won't refund. Then asked if it was possible to change dates for 4 months later, same price, they wanted 100 euros more to change dates, something that takes few seconds to do. Book at a respectable hotel and avoid this place.

I booked a room online in advance and when I got there after a long flight it wasn’t what they showed on the photos, it was kinda like a storage room or something similar that they manage to become hotel room. The room was extremely stuffy, moldy, dusty.
I tried to talk with the staff at the reception and all he said was that he couldn’t do anything, he didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. I end it up moving to another hotel that I found near by.
I would never stay at this hotel or hotel chain again.

We were given a room on the 6th floor. The lift only goes to the 5th so we had to lug 3 suitcases up one flight . The room itself was clean but the curtain was falling off as it was only hanging on one hook and so we couldn't even draw the curtains and when we tried to hang it properly the whole thing , hook and all fell off. We took the room to get some rest before our night flight out. So we wanted at least 5 hrs of sleep and we had to sleep with the sun shining in. The bathroom had black mold in the shower and the toilet leaked all over the floor everytime we flushed it. The receptionist was surly when we checked in. The only good thing about the hotel was it's proximity to the trains station. I'd pay an extra $20 and find a better place next time.

Well located hotel. Price wasn’t too bad but wouldn’t be desperate to stay there again. Rooms are quite dated and could do with a refurbishment

The rooms and bed are okay. The reception guy was nice, helpful and efficient. The lady was unfortunately quite rude and standoffish. My qualms with the hotel were due to the mold in the bathroom. See attached pictures.

Booked two nights in a room with three single beds. Arrived and found that the room was two single beds and a sofa bed despite explicitly not choosing this option. Asked at front desk if this could be fixed and they put one person in a single for the first evening and said to check back tomorrow. The next day we asked what we should do and they said they would rearrange the room and put another actual bed in it. When we returned there was just the sofa bed. Asked at the front desk and they said there is nothing they can do. So if you stay here, just because you book something AND prepay doesn't actually mean it will be available for you. Would not recommend unless you are in extreme circumstances.
