Interesting place to say the least. Each room has it's own theme. Rooms are private, as this is a hotel, not a hostel. The staff is kind, and accommodating to anything you may need.

We stayed at the Two Lions and it was beyond anything!!!! What a art creation...staying in an artwork...Absolutely stunning, fascinating, sensual, dark and just amazing!!! A dream come true that we could experience this art creation room ???? Hope the will re-open again soon!!!!

Berlin is a city known for the pervasiveness of art and for its tendency toward outlandish character. Propeller Island City Lodge does not disappoint that legacy.

Propeller Island is the pseudonym used by the German artist Lars Stroschen whose usual oeuvre consists of audio-visual creations. This particular construct of his takes D.I.Y to the extreme. This hotel is hand-made down to the last detail; original, uncopied and unique.

Each room has a different character, whether it is the “Padded Room” where everything is upholstered with green leather or “Two Lions” where guests get to choose between sleeping in elevated cages or a twin bed down below.

Perhaps those are more of an acquired taste? Rest assured there is space for those who would like a gentler introduction to such things. For instance their “Blue Room” surrounds you with mirrored sails and remains one of the most popular City Lodge rooms.

(Translated by Google) Mega freaky rooms, simple, uncomplicated booking, check-in and then paying (breakfast if required); quiet, clean and, not to forget the Charlottenburg district - a dream.
