This is a very nice theater. The actual theater hall was very modern and comfortable. The actors were great! I enjoyed the modern backdrops, the use of technology (video and media) to bring the scenes to life. Some of the shows have Übertitels (top captions) in English and German. I believe there are some that show übertitels in other languages too (check before purchasing). The process of finding your seat was very quick and easy. The theater bar has a good selection of beverages (alcoholic and none alcoholic beverages) and snacks. It was an enjoyable experiences.

We had a great experience, definitely recommend for fans of modern theatre. Be aware that there is no coat check, but lockers that require 2€ coins. There's a nice cafe and you can even get souvenirs after the show. Check the website to see whether a play will have surtitles - some do, some don't.

Schaubühne is a really wonderful theater. I find it exclusive - but (very importantly) it's not aristocratic. For instance: there are lockers, so you don't have stand in line for the coat check. Awesome!
Be sure to buy your tickets early, since the shows get sold out pretty quick. And before the show take 15 minutes to enjoy the architecture of this place. The building is really special: Literally down to earth / ground floor, big windows, and circular shape.
Also, the cafe is very great, but typically packed.
