I've read some of the negative reviews and I can't agree. Thin walls? There was absolutely nothing to hear from the other rooms, and the hotel was completely booked up. Dirty? No, it's not dirty, some components like the rug and the grout in the bathroom are just old. Hot in the summer? Yes, there I agree. But it's far from unbearable, and I stayed there for a week with constant temperatures above 30° C. It's no secret that the hotel has no air conditioning. If you want AC, get a room in a hotel for € 10,- more per day. Stupid or impolite people at the reception? No, not at all. They're very nice, helpful and polite, and if I wasn't recognised, I was always asked for some kind of ID.
Also: Free Wifi with acceptable bandwidth, a good Turkish bakery right next door, five minutes to the subway.
