Great restaurant, we will definitely come back.
We loved the interior and the open kitchen.
Food was A+ , we enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the Jerusalem bagel, it’s a MUST for starter with delicious Harissa cream on the side, it really kicked off the meal properly.
We also had the eggplant carpaccio and katayef with meat, both excellent.
The beef fillet for main course was like a work of art, the plate was just beautiful and the meat was perfect. They really use fresh products and you can taste that, everything was very flavorful.
I had to remove one star because unfortunately our waitress wasn’t great, she kept clearing our plates way too quickly before we were done and we felt a bit rushed. Our main course was taken away in the middle of us eating, we barely noticed her taking the plate and then it was too late to get it back.
Other than that we had a lovely time, highly recommended.

What an amazing experience! We had the Aubergine carpaccio, Jerusalem Bagel, Beef Tartar, Gnocci, Lamb Chops and the cholocate cream dessert. The Jerusalem Bagel was really 5/5, Carpaccio 4/5, Gnocchi 2/5, Lamb Chops 4,5/5, Beef Tartar 3,5/5, dessert 4,5/5. The Gnocchi were way too soft and they haven‘t had any consistency. A little disappointing. Taste however was nice. Lamb Chops portion size was very good. They were Sous Vide cooked and then seared so they were very juicy! The bagel…awesome :) and the chocolate cream dessert was also very tasty and had a good size for sharing.

Service was very good. The waitresses always checked on us, refilled water, cleaned the table after each course…it was outstanding. We came at a time were the restaurant wasn‘t very full yet. The only not so positive experience was the welcome. The restaurant was still pretty much empty and there was no queue at all. But we had to wait about 7-8 minutes to be seated. That was a bit too much for these circumstances. But the good service afterwards made it all good.
Overall a fantastic experience with good food and a well organized kitchen with professional chefs. They show their skills and you can watch while eating.

Starters: carpaccio was good 4/5, ceviche was terrible and if you enjoy ceviche you will be disappointed 1/5.

Mains: goose 3/5 it was flavourless. Octopus 3/5. Scallops 3/5, I love the flavours but it was just so bland it lacked a wow moment. Fish 5/5 surprise star of the night and the ONLY dish we ordered that wasn’t recommended by the waiter.

Service was not great. I am not prudish whatsoever but the attire of our waiter was distracting u0026 she didn’t actually wait on us. We had to remind her to bring the wine bottle we had ordered 20 mins earlier, we asked for sparkling water and she brought still. We didn’t get a second bottle because she didn’t come back until the desserts were ready some 45mins later. We had to ask for the bill twice. Train your staff.

Overall: Expensive for an underwhelming evening. And strange annoying music that didn’t fit a dining experience. Hire a professional. It feels like a restaurant that belongs in 2001 in a b grade town. If the fish hadn’t been so good I would have given it 1 stars.

We were in Layla for our anniversary dinner: great choice… berlin has many interesting restaurants with delicious offerings, but Layla is different, good different, in almost all aspects.
The atmosphere is cool, great vibes and very welcoming warm staff. Daniel took care of us, was ????
We ordered almost all the menu ????
We loved almost all, everything was different than we know: for example one of the sides in the steak meal is “labaneh” with touches of rose water, how crazy does that sound??? but actually it’s delicious…
No doubt Mr. Adoni is an artist

@layla_berlin, the Mediterranean - Middle Eastern restaurant by Israeli ????????@chef_meir_adoni.

Meir Adoni, who was born in Israel and has Moroccan ???????? roots, chooses to reinvent traditional Middle Eastern cuisine and modify them, by adding flavors, ingredients and techniques from all over the world. All dishes were a delight! I ordered almost all the menu.

I had a great start with Kibbeh Nayyeh: Arabic style steak ???? tartare, green sorrel, bulgur and yoghurt.

Next dish: lovely roasted calamari ???? with goat labaneh, roasted hot peppers, okra and Kalamata olives.

Main course: roasted octopus ???? confit, curry cream, yuzu yogurt, cauliflower and tamarind - such a delicious bomb.

A great ending to the night was the Malabi Kadaif, candied pistachios, rhubarb and plum confiture, cherry sorbet and hibiscus powder.

Great atmosphere, nice service and a beautiful open kitchen. Don’t miss this creative fusion cuisine that brings together awesome blends of spices and tastes from North Africa, Mddle East and the mediterranean mixed together in a melting pot that is the Israeli cuisine at it's best.

The food was good. Ordered from both the regular and vegetarian menu.

Smoked Eggplant Carpaccio 5/5
- very flavourful
- smoky flavour wasn't overpowering

Tunisian Bruschetta 4/5
- very flavourful
- each order came with two halves of a slice of bread so had to order two (€42 for 4 pieces of bruschetta)
- expensive for what it was
- was actually my favourite app

Burrata 2/5
- it was ok
- expensive for Burrata

Moroccan Couscous 3/5
- nothing spectacular

Gnocchi 4/5
- it was good

Sea Fish Fillet 5/5
- delicious
- fish was done right

Service was good. Waitress checked on us and changed our plates between apps and main.

Overall it was a good experience.
