Holiday Inn Express Berlin City Centre, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is well located and close to the Anhalter S Bahn stop and less than a 10 min ride from either the Sudkreuz or Hauptbahnhoh train stations and a 45 min ride to the new BER airport.
Breakfast choices and quality were top notch with multiple choices of traditional dishes.
Check in and check out was efficient and friendly.
Rooms were quiet with clean carpets and decent bedding.
Bathrooms were the express unidoor design and the room was small but adequate and had a nice chair.
The ONLY minor negative was there are no in room safes but the front desk would lock up your passports etc.
I would certainly stay here again.

Hotel staff worked with me to receive my concert tickets in advance. They couldn't find it right away when we checked in, but eventually were able to. For our wait, they gave us extra free drinks. The breakfast is decent variety with pancake machine. We wished for some sausages and scrambled eggs, but it was more a continental style breakfast. Remember, this is HI Express. The location was close to Checkpoint Charlie and near public transportation. Highly recommend

Very well located hotel, walking distance to Berlin city center. Excellent for one night stay on our journey through Europe. Hotel offered most competitive price, which unfortunately left footprint at cleanliness.

10 minutes by walk to city center. Excellent service with good price. Comfortable parking. Typical german breakfast with delicious coffee. Excellent choice of TV channels from 20+ different countries.

Clean hotel. 2 of us stayed for 3 nights, good location within walking distance of Checkpoint Charlie and the bustling Alexanderplatz.

Only reason for not 5 stars was the wait to check in and the busyness of breakfast. One day we were up early and so decided to check out the included breakfast that we had payed for.

This was impossible, way too busy and not enough organisation. Scrambling over breakfast, no thanks. We ended up having just a coffee and going elsewhere for our breakfast.

The check in was also quite long, even with staff members seeming to lul around.

Excellent hotel, the breakfasts were very tasty
We booked 2 rooms, it's just a shame they couldn't put the 2 rooms close to each other
And not far in 2 floors

I will greatly appreciate that next time they try to help and reserve this arrangement

overall it was good experience. the room was very nice and clean. breakfast buffet was served with plenty of choices.
