Near to the Potsdamer Platz, the Tiergarten and the Philharmonic concert hall of Berlin, as a part of the "Kulturforum" in the middle of Berlin, this is one of the best exhibition halls in the city. The architecture is some awful 80ies brutalism style, but inside the rooms are very special for good exhibitions. They have a lot of very famous artist and be part of the more famous "Museumsinsel" but just for smaller grafic, photografic and other natural paintings. Sorry, no modernism ... also the museum shop has a lot of fine stuff and special gifts. The restaurant inside is small but good service. Go to there and you will leave with a lot of impressions ... far of the mass galleries for tourists. Enjoy it!

Huge collection and really good exhibitions. they take you through time, show who and how the people before us lived. Recommend this museum

Ignore all other reviews - they refer to other nearby museums. This is apparently run on exhibits only on certain days. You can go in the library and see a print, but that's a lot of work. You will need an ID. This information was gleaned from a local passerby.
