Giving this place a one star review because to give it less isn't an option.
Backstory is I've been a member for three years (my fault for not cancelling sooner, no arguments there) and recently lost my card.

Went this evening (July 25 2022, at 1830) to try and get a permanent replacement card. The lady at the reception (name tag was something like Djazila - certainly began with a D, and had a Z and an A in it) told me could give me a one-time pass in exchange for a deposit (at this point thinking I wanted to attend the gym there and then). I explained that I was wanting a new card permanently, and had just dropped by to try and get one. Also, it made no sense (to me but apparently only to me!) that every time I came to the gym I would need to get a card just for that session in exchange for a deposit. She told me I thus couldn't get a card since I wasn't signing into the gym at that moment.

The bizarreness of the idea that I could go to the gym on Tuesday evening and then again on Wednesday morning and have to borrow a card twice rather than just be given a new card did not seem to occur to her.

She then told me, unsmiling, "du kannst jetzt gehen". I actually felt patronised, and my impression was I was supposed to think it was stupid I had gone out my way to come to the gym and get a new card. At this point, it still isn't actually clear to me (since it hasn't been told to me) why I cannot be issued with a new permanent card. When I asked why, she told me they had none.

This was despite the fact she had opened a drawer below the desk and she had dozens of cards. Am I also really to believe that somebody else signed up to this gym today, they would be told they could only get a card for that one session (in exchange for a deposit) and they would need to give it back at the end?

So, having being a gym member at All Star since February 2019, never once complaining when they charged monthly fees during the first lockdown when we were not allowed to attend, never once complaining about the twice-yearly fees which other gyms don't charge, and trying to get a new card so I can actually attend, I am refused without reason and told 'du kannst jetzt gehen'.

Suffice to say, I will be joining another gym and the direct debit will be getting blocked, because who would continue to pay 30 EUR per month to be treated like that. This receptionists colleagues should be embarrassed by her behaviour frankly.

Proper equipment, long opening hours, friendly staff.
If I could improve one thing: Would love a second squat rack and a second bench. You can get rid of one of the smith machines to make space :P

Make sure to get a tour through the gym before you pay 10€ for a trial training. We booked a trial trading day last Sunday. We payed 10€ each and wanted to start working out and exploring the gym but that day they had planned an “influencer event” so half of the gym was closed so the influencers can have their event there. We couldn’t use or enter the terrace, the pool and wellness area was closed off and also the courses that were supposed to happen did not happen. We only came to experience the course and hence did not make use of the trial and went back home (we still had to pay though!). Nobody told us about the event before we paid, which made us really mad. Also when we complained about it we were not offered any money back or anything else in return, but we’re told “ I do not know who scheduled the trial training with you and why they didn’t tell you”. Super useless and bad service. We are still happy this happened, because now we know that we are not getting a membership in this gym ????

I booked before going and when I got there, the classed was cancelled and the girl working there could not explain when was the Swimmingpool gonna be available again or explain anything. She was not polite, but more like the opposite. Seemed annoyed by the fact that I was asking when will the swimming pool be open again. I did not get any email saying that the class were gonna be cancelled and I am only paying the subscription for that activity.

Favourite gym in Berlin, nice staff and I really recommend checking out the courses of Leon and Katja.

Good price for amazing venue.
Top quality machines, personal trainers and equipment.
It has a sauna and a pool.
