Very beautiful museum. The audio-guide isbm very complet. The piece in tye exposition are very well explained in every languages thank to the audio-guide. And for once the visite let the freedom to spend as much time as you want in every place. The full history of the bavarian kings is explained. The museum has the cold air foe the summer.... Bit as the castle . It is a bit expensive according to the rest of the Germany.

An interesting.place. After visiting both the nearby castles, it provided a good respite from the crowds which flock to the site. Word of advice. Prebook your tickets to avoid the long queues to see the castles. I booked in advance and had my ticket within 10mins of arrival, which saved me heaps of time from just having to stand there and wait to be served.

Very nice. Only 11 Euro per person which is ok considering the area. High tourist area is what I mean. Also there is an elevator for those who can't climb stairs. Very informative and a great amount to see and learn from. I would visit again.

Great and comfortable place to learn the history of the royal families of Bavaria! Close to the lake, the building and the location are gorgeous! Inside mainly paintings, pictures and explanation, some royal family’s items too. The visit is more cultural than visual! It’s usually included and worth if you pay for both castles. Don’t miss it!

Interesting to visit this museum when you visit the two royal castles, just to understand they family history better. Even if you don't have enough interest or patience for all the audio guides (they are quite long, really) or all the written details, you have a few beautiful and shiny objects exposed. I especially liked the room with the table service, there were more than 300 plates, and each of them had a different picture in the middle. A pity you're not allowed to take pictures inside.

We basically stumbled into this place after exploring the area and I'm glad we did. Before the trip we studied up on Bavarian history so this was a nice treat. This is a great museum if you're a history person, or just want to kill some time before or after your tours. There's plenty of artifacts and information about Bavarian kings. Definitely recommend!
