Holiday Inn Munich - City Centre, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is perfectly located at the Rosenheimer S-Bahn station giving great access to the City center or the airport via a quick S-Bahn ride. You can reach the hotel through the station during some times of the day. Otherwise it's a short walk outside.

The hotel was very basic, comfortable, and clean. The room only had two glasses, a hot water maker, and a bottle opener. The hotel bar was a popular place at night. Nothing else to report.

My only major comment for improvement is that the computer the hotel provides to use for internet and printing has such an old version of Internet Explorer that most websites won't open and you can't log in to Gmail (Gmail blocked it as insecure). I needed to print some documents for travel but was thwarted by not being able to log in to my email account! This seems like a very basic, inexpensive, and easy upgrade the hotel needs to make. I'm sure the hotel staff would have printed the documents for me, but I ended up bringing my USB drive and accessing the documents that way. Luckily I had a USB drive with me and could figure out a roundabout way of printing them on the ancient internet computer.

Hotel was super conveniently located with station so close by. Rooms were lovely and clean and very comfortable although comment from one of our group was that the covers could have been bigger, but he is quite tall! Mostly staff were friendly and helpful.
Only issue we had was that the shower overflowed write quickly and when we finally worked out why we were a bit disgusted as the plug was full of hair! See left the plug to off so hopefully it was cleaned for next person.

We stayed in this hotel a few times some years ago, we just stayed again and had another good holiday.
Very convenient located.
Friendly staff. Great bar/lounge area, but would benefit from greater food choices and better quality red wine. Great breakfast choices. And a decent rooms.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Extremely clean, friendly staff and very handy to have a food store right underneath the building! We received a free complementary upgrade and we had the best view of the house! I would defiantly recommend staying in this hotel if you are planning on visiting Munich. The hotel is in a very good location and is only a short walk to the city centre

Had a great stay - modern rooms with good soundproofing and air conditioning, wonderful customer service, not located in the centre of town but next to a S-bahn that gets you there in 5-10 min with trains arriving every 1-2 min.

If I had to fault something, it would be the bathroom design - the open door design just doesn't keep water in properly. Also breakfast is fairly generic... but those are only minor issues.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Nothing about this hotel offered any incentive to want to stay here again.The room was clean, but relatively small. Bed was comfortable, but the room was hot during the nights, making it difficult to really get a sound sleep during our 2-night stay. As a IHG Platinum member, we expect a complimentary breakfast, but were told the hotel does not offer such. Housekeeping was OK, nice amenities, but not proper attention to detail regarding the way the amenities were displayed. The staff was not problematic in any way, however, displayed an indifferent attitude, and thus not too welcoming (unlike other hotels we'd stayed in around Munich where we'd felt more welcomed by the staff). Everything was essentially average at best. Next time we're in Munich, we'll book a different property.

Great location, and a clean and moderate room. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms were cleaned each day and the mini-fridge restocked with complimentary snacks and drinks.
The breakfast is fantastic but definitely overpriced, luckily we were given a discount so it was worth it this time.
