We sat and were shown the menu on a board, we were not shown any further menus so we were not expecting a bill to this quantity. The pasta was good but in no circumstances were the drinks worth the price we paid. The service was okay, various staff serving. The final server who provided the bill stood whilst we read the bill and abruptly asked if we wanted to add a tip to our bill, this did seem to be standard in Munich though. Overall I would certainly not return.

Place is expansive with bad service and no sense of Italy at all.

Sitting here right now. We ordered drinks (aperol was bad) and was deciding about food for some time… we were having drinks for 10-15 minutes and all that time on the table were two small plates with little olive oil on it. I remember Italian restaurants but never saw it, plates with oil but NO bread. Only after we ordered food they brought some bread. But that old was not enough for the amount of bread they brought ;) and thay save olive oil and don’t give anymore than was on the plate. I don’t tell that when we asked for a little more bread, the answer was exactly “we don’t have any more bread!”
We ordered 2 beef carpaccio for 23 euro each. And caprese ( with not good tomatoes). We asked balsamic and it wasn’t served as in restaurant.

Best pasta I had in years. Somewhat pricey, but worth it. Great location in the old town center.

Love Guido Al Duomo. Not only that they have the best handmade truffle pasta in whole Munich, but also constantly the most friendly service you will get in whole Munich. The three brothers truly put a lot of passion and hard work into their restaurant and let every guest feel as at home. It does completely justify the a bit higher prices, also as the location can't get anymore central.
