One of the best places in Munich. In summer street musicians are playing here or dancers meet and dance salsa, tango ect. It's a magic place.

Beautiful little historical construction right in the middle of the Hofgarten... Fits in pretty well with the surroundings and definitely is a great photo spot.

The "temple" is a known spot for tourists and locals alike. In summer, you will see musicians, dancers and actors practicing or promoting their upcoming performance. You'll be invited to sit or stand closeby. It's a beautiful area in the city center to hang out.

The small temple is located in the middle of the Hofgarten gardens. It's is a twelve-sided gazebo from the Renaissance period, with a statue of of the personification of Bavaria atop.

The temple is pretty enough sitting in Hofgartens, but don't go out of the way.

Great place for dates or to rest during walking around the city.
The Diana Temple is a twelve-sided gazebo from the Renaissance period with eight open and four closed round arcades. It is the crossing point of the main and diagonal axes of the Hofgarten where it stands. It was created in 1613-1617 in Italian style together with the Hofgarten. It serves as an unofficial and informal meeting place for dancers, and sometimes here coming street musicians.

The Diana Temple is the centre monument at the Hofgarten north of Residenz and an interesting thing to see if you plan to spend time in the garden before or after visiting the Residence.

What you will see is an early 17th-century, Renaissance style gazebo with eight arches and a dome topped by a bronze figure of Tellus, the female symbolic figure and secular patroness of Bavaria. The interior of the gazebo features a patterned floor and shelled fountains embedded in the closed arch sections.

Overall, The Diana Temple is an interesting historical structure to see. Give it a few minutes if you find yourself in Hofgarten and enjoy this type of sightseeing during your travels.
