Fabulous spot for lunch or early dinner. Truly attentive helpful waiter (Phillip). No English menu. I let the waiter bring what he wanted and it was incredibly good. Started with Speck on rye toast—burnt to perfection and finished with thinly sliced rare roast beef that was amazing. They serve a side of Roasted thin sliced potatoes that are the best I had in Munich. Patio seating with a magnificent view of the park. Upscale crowd. Also a more private patio in the back on the park.

We love this place, everyone is so nice there. Very good quality food and drinks. Outdoor is so nice to enjoy the people watching, inner garden is so chillax, indoor is cozy and elegant. Charles, the owner, will be 80 years old, still works there daily. Love the spirit! He’s so famous even has a movie about him! Amazing icon of Munich ????????

I feel so sorry for taking my family to this place. I don't even know where to begin. Awful waiters (old chap with long white hair and pony-tail guy) did an incredibly lousy service. Old guy should definitely work on his attitude and manners, menue wasn't appealing at all, food was average.
We have been to many nice places but this is absolutely NOT ONE OF THEM. If I could give zero stars, I would have.

The worst experience! Extremely arrogant staff. Our waiter (old white gray haired man) was absolutely obnoxious. Insulted us and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.
Might have been an "in" place back in the time but will definitely go out of business with this kind of attitude. Quite sad actually.

One of the best and oldest bars in Munich.
Great service and mood but at about 01.30 they just stop the music and turn on the lights like saying "it's time to be leaving now, the party is over..."

One of the places for a fancy cocktails in Munich. (But they serve food, too.) Little fancy, too, but a very enjoyable atmosphere very close to Odeonsplatz.

Started with an incredible helpfull waiter who translated the menu for us, food and drinks where very fast deliverd to our table. Tatsted amazing had a great lunch there!
