It was average but pricey!
The food was good, nothing special at all. Orderd slow cooked lamb, but it wasn’t that very soft texture as it should when slow cooked, so just a fake cloche. I ordered an idian beer on draft, got a room temperatued without foam. All of us got it like that no matter the different drinks. The glasses were old and worn. Didn’t quite give a good impression when having higher price on the menu compared to lots of restaurants close around.
Staff that served us were nice but the smoothness when putting down plates and when picking them up is something they really need to work on. Never seen nor heard that kind of slamming and picking plates with our cutlery to reach out to the furthest plates and bread basket. Felt almost like we bothered them. And the “death knell”…it was expensive like we sat on a fancy place. The menu is presented at the entrance with a price around 12-15€ but when you sit down it says “until 16 o’clock” and then you add 40-50% extra on the price to get the real price, around 18-21€ per dish.
We have eaten on many restaurants in Leipzig during several weeks and this was far most expensive place so far for nothing extra. One dish with naan bread and a beer 28€. The day before I ate pasta, beer and antipasti WITH tip for 20€ just 100m away and same thing the day before at another restaurant close by. If you really like and need to eat indian food then be aware of this, otherwise you can eat two times somewhere else for the same price.
