The room is rather basic for the price I paid (€60) and I had to share a toilet with other guests, but at least the location was good. The wooden floor at the top was very noisy and I could hear quite clearly when other guests use the bathroom at night.

It's an old house less than 20 steps away from Marktplatz. 5 min to the castle trail stairs. Every step you take will cause a squeak that could be heard in the whole house. If you have heavy luggage, good luck bringing it up the narrow stairs. Bathrooms are not private. Luckily, German tourists are very respectful and clean so the noise isn't too big of an issue. The price is considered very cheap by Heidelberg's standard considering the location. Good communication from the host regarding the self check in. Front door knob is hard to turn (you need a strong grippy hand).

Modest little room, but the location in town couldn't be better. For the undemanding traveller it can be recommended.

It is a great location in the middle of old town, just an entrance of Heidelberg castle. There are free coffee and tea. And also some fruits were delicious, the grape was grown by the owner. The room is big and comfort. Shared bathroom is convenient. Thank the owner for offering cheap price in Heidelberg.

Clean bedroom, top floor has a small shared bathroom plus hair dryer, and shared coffee and tea facilities per floor.
Only issue with shared facilities is that you're depending on other guests' good behaviour. In our case someone decided to take all the coffee there was (which was plenty when we arrived), so that the next morning no coffee was left, neither on the first nor on the top floor. I think that the principle of shared facilities is very good, keeping the price very acceptable, but people need to grow up and be less greedy.
Other than that, all was good.
The apartment is situated right in the middle of the old city, a walking zone, and the parking garage (p12 is recommended) is only a few hundred metres away. You can drop off your suitcases by car. Very nice city, Heidelberg.

Amazing location, within walking distance to everything! Could hear the Christmas market music from the room! Beautiful old room, very clean and great view from the window.

Very noisy, low security, and no staff. The acoustics in the building, combined with thin windows and walls virtually guarantee a sleepless night. With no staff around, you have no hope of changing room or to prevent drunks slamming on the door at 3am when they have forgotten the code. Good luck if there is ever a fire, as the exit is behind a locked door (in a guest's bedroom). One to be avoided.
