Terrible park house! Some parking lot have metal pipes sticking out from the wall. Many cars scratched on them, mine included. The park house could have make some protections around them to avoid people scratching their cars.

It is a positive sign to see the response from the authority and I appreciate the explanation. Nevertheless, while I was checking the damage on my car, I noticed that the metal pipe had already many scratches on it, obviously made by other unlucky drivers like me.
I drove in the park house during the day, so illumination was not the issue. The problem is that I never expected if I park my car correctly in a designated parking lot in a park house, I could possibly bump into some fixtures. In other words, no fixed object should invade the designated parking space. If you could not put extra protection around the pipes, mark those parking lot as for motorcycles or smaller cars only. This is the least you could do.

Not cheap, but worth it. Easy to park, accept card. €1.5 per hour.

The location is excelent. Right bellow the castle and in the old city's center

Loved the city which is different from others German cities I have visited. A mix of old and new architecture.

Prices are not bad u0026 the payment kiosk is easy with credit card. The staff were friendly u0026 the parking spot is decently close to the palace/castle (you have to hike a huge flight of stairs to get to it which I realized many had to rest while on the climb). Downtown area is also pretty much in the same area which is awesome! My only real gripe are the parking spots being very small. My normal sized sedan had some issues getting through, especially when some people park terribly. Some spots even have walls/pipes through it which made it almost unusable for my sedan. I recommend getting there early to beat the traffic!

This parking garage is great when it's jot busy but a nightmare when it's packed. It tells you to go up to exit and at the top it suddenly ends with no where to turn around. If you notice this garage is full, turn around asap. Other than that, it's perfectly located above the funicular with access to the Heidelberg Castle and also the hike above it.

Best place to park if you want to visit the castle and the old city. Your parking skills should be pretty Jedi, as it can get quite cramped. Drive to the top for a little more freedom. The tram up the hill to the castle is under the parking garage.
