The absolute best german dinner I've ever had. The pricing is reasonable, portions HUGE and food is frankly amazing. Would definitely recommend!

A must try! We heard about this spot through a local German friend and would highly recommend it. The food was very good, and the service was also top notch. It’s located further from all the busy crowds of Heidelberg which is nice. And the portions of the food were large. Fair prices and the back patio was a beautiful area to relax and enjoy a beer with the food. If we return to this area again, we will be back!

Essighaus is a Germans German restaurant. Very much a place of the locals, and for good reason. The food and beer is excellent with a nice changing daily menu. Seasonal changes in beer and food are welcome.

Cash only restaurant. Food and beer are really good and not expensive.
Some items in menu are served with soup and salad so you will be definitely full after finished everything.
