First I must say this is a great location for visiting the beautiful old town area. However my poor rating is due to multiple problems: the extremely narrow parking spaces. I had to drive around several times to try to find a space that I felt my average size car would fit. I hoped when I returned that no one would have hit my vehicle when they attempt to park as well. Secondly and the most stressful was when returning to the parking garage the door I had exited from was locked! I had to walk and locate the area where you drive into the garage and find my car from there. Then to make matters worse, when I went to exit I thought I would pay at the exit with my ticket. No. The gates wouldn’t open. When I figured out how to access a speaker at the gate to talk to someone, he barked at me to “speak in German!” As if everyone who visits Heidelberg speaks German. I apologized that I didn’t speak German and he clearly could speak English well enough to advise I need to pay first at a machine someplace inside the garage. Thankfully I saw a kind German woman who pointed me toward the paying machine which accepted my credit card and I escaped this horrible parking garage experience!

The parking spaces are extremely narrow. Hence, many people park their cars outside the lines, blocking the adjacent space. Therefore, when the display on the outside indicates 11 free spaces, in truth it's rather zero usable spaces.

Yep! The majority of the places is narrow. But with a car that we actually need instead of a car that one would have or want it is doable. There are places though that are wider. Price is slightly better than the surrounding parkhouses.

Also very unclear where exits are and the paymachine. Watch the yellow markings on the ground for the exit, and the signs on the ceiling and/or wall for the paying machine.

Very small spaces, expensive bad indications for the automatic cashier

The parking spaces are awefully small and have a really weird layout. But it's not that expensive and you are downtown immediately. Just pray your car fits in one space.

It's really hard to park here with narrow space.

Grotesquely narrow parking spaces. Even the smallest vehicles barely fit in.
