Yes, the onboarding is really not optimal. They do not even offer you one free trial training, which is standard nowadays (Edit: And is actually advertised by the gym itself.)

Itself you are considering becoming a member, make sure you look on ebay or ask around to build a group so that the price is lower.

(Edit: Also maybe read the contracts and try to talk to people who are current members. It is a RED FLAG if the gym administration will not honor what they advertise. Will they honor what is in the signed contract?)

Very bad customer service and irresponsible. My company transfer me to another country and I had to terminate the contract after 5 years, I gave all the required documents and 3 months of notice as requested. They never answer me in written or phone call. I requested several times an appointment to discuss the matter and the answer was “we will call you”... I spoke with Mirco like 6 months in advance that I will be leaving soon in regards to the contract, and he said that no problem that with the required documentation is not an issue to end the contract. Obviously it was a lie...please be aware of it before signing anything with Sportu0026Spa

I was hesitant to go there because of bad reviews... it was true. :(
when you want to register as a memeber, they are so kind. but when you quit the membership, it is awful.

I need to move to other city.

three months before... I asked them quitting my membership, they requested a prove that I will move more than 30km from here.

two months befroe.. I gave them my apartment contract as a prove, but they requested the registering address.

after registering apartment, they told me that you can stop your membership after three months from now on.... what?

do you think it is a normal in Germany?
the reason why customer want to quit their membership because they cannot go to the gym anymore. It is too far to go there!!

Positiv: Ich war langjähriges Mitglied in diesem Fitnessstudio. Aufgrund der Lage und der eigentlich guten Atmosphäre im Studio bin ich gerne dort gewesen. Die Trainer waren freundlich, Umkleiden, Duschen und Sauna eigentlich immer sauber. Die Ausstattung und das Angebot war für mich insgesamt ausreichend, auch wenn die Kurse oft sehr voll waren.

Negativ: Hier muss ich mich leider einigen Vorrednern anschließen. Seit der Coronazeit ist die Vertragspolitik sowie der Umgang mit mir als Mitglied nicht akzeptabel gewesen. Ich habe ordentlich gekündigt. Daraufhin wurde mein Vertrag einseitig ohne mein Einverständnis um die Studioschließzeit verlängert und es wird mit Mahnungen Druck ausgeübt, obwohl ein aktuelles BGH Urteil aus dem Mai 2022 das Vorgehen als unzulässig erklärt. Edit: Leider war eine persönliche Klärung bis Dato nicht möglich. Auf meine Klärungsversuche per Mail wird nur mit erneuten Mahnungen reagiert und hier antwortet man sofort? Das finde ich sehr schade.

Die Trainer:innen waren immer freundlich und kompetent und das Studio war sauber - insgesamt bin ich wirklich gerne zum trainieren gekommen.
Nur das mit dem ordentlichen kündigen will hier einfach nicht so recht funktioniert. Mein Vertrag wurde ordnungsgemäß (3 Monate Kündigungsfrist) gekündigt. Nun habe ich kurz vor der Kündigung zugestimmt, dass die Lockdown-Zeiten an das Vertragsende angehängt werden. Da Sports u0026 Spa während des Lockdowns die Beiträge weiter abgebucht haben, bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass mir nach der ursprünglichen Vertragslaufzeit keine weiteren Summen von meinem Konto abgebucht werden. Das Studio hat die Beiträge aber ein weiters mal kassiert. Somit habe ich natürlich meinen Anspruch nach dem BGH von 04.05.2022 AZ:XII ZR 64/21 geltend gemacht und meine zu viel gezahlten Beiträge zurückverlangt. Sports u0026 Spa reagierte bis dato auf keins meiner Einschreiben. Eine schriftliche Stellungnahme ist doch das mindeste, was man als Mitglied erwarten kann?! Jetzt muss ich mir mein Geld über einen Mahnbescheid zurückholen. Hätte ich mal auf die Vorredner gehört, die ähnliche Erlebnisse mit dem Studio hatten.

Edit - Nein, ich habe keine Lust das telefonisch zu klären und den Member Service anzurufen. Ich möchte die Angelegenheit schriftlich klären, weil das mein gutes Recht ist.
