Coffee in this place is great! A real rosterei!
The cafe is also nice, one of the few rare comfy places around Alster with kind staff.

This is my favourite coffee place in Hamburg, and as a local I've tried many in the city. Reason: extremely great atmosphere due to nice setup of the interior, it never seems too crowded (although on weekends it can get pretty crowded lately too) and has a very cozy and welcoming design. There's free magazines of Zeit, you can also buy the beans from the roasters Torrefactum. The flat white with oat milk (oatly) is tasty and also the Americano tastes pretty balanced. Little downside: if you've been to France before, don't expect too much from the macarons they offer ;-)

Zeit cafe might be the best outlet marking Hamburg's two major industries: media and coffee.

Housed in a 20s style brick building in the city centre, this cafe has big windows so the space is bright with cozy modern interior design, full of relaxing and joyous atmosphere. I particularly like its lofty space arrangement, very metropolitan but still relaxing.

The staff are laid-back and friendly. Their menu is contemporary as any other European coffee capitals such as London, Berlin or Stockholm. I was pleased that I could order cold brew here. It's smooth in texture and refreshing in taste, really good for a heatwave day in late June.

It is probably fair to say that Zeit references Monocle's business model to also have a cafe to feature its lifestyle, reportage and photography from the publications. It is definitely my favourite cafe in the city of Hamburg now.
