Looking for a traditional beer shop with local food? Here every is the opposite of a fast food: slow service, folk music in the background from the past, people smiling sincerely, at lunch most guests had white hairs and happy to spend time there. The menu to eat is limited and simple, the price very convenient, the taste delicious, the size medium. Many seats and tables inside, lot of seats and table outside on the grass for people living open air. Nice experience especially if you have time and understand the spirit of tradition.

This place always delivers, menu in Berlin and here are the same.
Black beer is good, food was really good, the servings were huge and the place is lovely to be in.
I will point out that our waiter was kind, but also slow, and when we asked another waiter for the check, he gave a bad face and proceeded to bring the check.

While visiting Hamburg, I happened upon this restaurant on a sunny day and a beautiful terrace. What could possibly go wrong? Absolutely nothing! The beer was cold and fresh, very tasty (as I remembered in my university days in Munich). I only ordered the Goulash soup and a pretzel as I wasn’t terribly hungry. It was served quickly and hit the spot. My favorite part was the sunny terrace and watching the people in the park next door. All in all, a very nice experience!

Decent Bavarian Hofbräu restaurant. The restaurant is extremely big, especially in the summer when the outdoor seating is available. The service is very good - friendly and professional. We visited during late lunch and the restaurant was not very busy. It took quite an effort to get the attention of the waiter, but he was very friendly. We tried Wiener Schnitzel and Weißwurst with HB beer. The food came very quickly but the Weißwurst was cold and hade a very unusual flavor, very different from what we are used to. The pretzel was not very fresh. The schnitzel was okay, but the veal was not very tender and the breading was very oily. The potatoe salad was average. If you want Preiselbeeren you have to pay extra. The location is good but we would recommend other, smaller Bavarian restaurants in Hamburg. This one is good for a beer or two but we will not come back for the food. We rated the restaurant three stars, one additional for the waiters, who were very good.

My friend took me here to try typical German food and beer. We ordered 3 dishes for 2 persons and we were full and happy. The order was ready within 10 minutes. At 6 musicians started to play and sing German songs. I liked everything.
Definitely recommend this place!

Really good Haxen. Crunchy from the outside and juicy from the inside ????
Also Brizza was so impressive. To be honest I didn't expect it too much, but combination of pretzels and cheese was amazing.

No red cabbage and the waiter hated waiting on Americans. The food was good and plenty and they are dog friendly outside
