The breakfast is pretty good but the service disappointed. At check in they said there's bar with drinks and food but then, at least at lunch time, there was no food. The rooms are small, but clean. The location is acceptable, but it still takes ~20 minutes from the train station with no good public transport alternatives. I would say it's as expected for 2 star hotel but the staff could be nicer and more welcoming.

Overall the hotel isn't bad. The room was bigger than the prizeotel in Munster.

That said, the AC wasn't working and they didn't tell us. We tried to figure out the AC controls and gave up after trying to google it. My partner went down to ask them how it worked and they told him it was down. I mean, I understand, but it sucks. We chose this hotel because it had AC and Germany is crazy hot right now.

Otherwise, the bed could use better comforter sheets (softer), and I would also suggest a fitted sheet and two pillows per person vs 1. Overall, it was too warm to use any bedding.

The breakfast was good and I especially liked the juice. I'm glad we tried it but I think I'll stick to going to a bakery instead (I don't eat enough to make the buffet worth it).

Location wise, it's perfect. The aesthetics are on point.

Usually I'd give a 4 star, but I took one away due to the A/C being broken/this information not being communicated at check-in.

I will surely book with prizeotel again. Price-quality is worth it for me. But please. Please fix the A/C

Good hotel for a sightseeing trip, with very friendly staff and great breakfast, approx. 15 minutes from the main station. Don't be afraid of the train tracks next to it, it seems like they are not used in regular traffic, there were some movements but it was not noisy at all.

Considering the price and the location the experience was fantastic. The only issue was the check in speed which was very slow mainly because there was only one person on the front desk. The room was clean and spacious. It was very nice to have an Apple TV in the room for Airplay. This is rare even in high end hotels.

Clean hotel, helpful and friendly staff, and good cocktails at the bar! Decor also very fun. Only downside was the airco did nothing to beat the heat, sadly.

The receptionists were polite and answered everything we wondered about. The reason I'm not giving it a full 5 star is the beds are really hard. I woke up with a sore back and shoulder.
The breakfast is ok. The room was nice and clean. If this had been the sixties, this would have been super popular because of the psycadelic colours all around ????

20 minute queue to check in then afterwards realised they had charged me twice so had to queue up again for 15 mins to get refund. Long queue for the bar. Rooms are good and clean. €18 per day to park. Located in a dodgy area of Hamburg, I'd caution anyone about walking round here or walking to the train station after dark.
