Just came home from The portuguese viertel having enjoyed a bit of food with colleagues. We are visiting from Denmark. Liverpool was losing 2-0 halftime, so we thought why not have a late pint watching The second half.
Ordered 3 pints and paid at The bar - as you almost always do when you order at The bar. The game finished and The bar lady screams out that we havent paid our pints. I Tell her that I have paid with a 50€ note and She just screams even louder that I hadnt paid. Causing a huge scene. Even some of The people at The bar shook their heads agreeing that I had paid and The people I went with did too. Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic scam! We are grown people. Only because I was there with work and it was 15 euros did I not cause a scene so paid AGAIN and left half laughing and fuming. Have Probably been to a 1000 bars in my 42 year life and NEVER tried a thing Like it. Bar woman spoke portuguese and a slavic language. Horrible experience. STAY AWAY - unless you would like to pay twice for your drinks. The woman in The fotos is her!
