We had a great evening in the restaurant. The team is very sweet and helpful. The tapas tastes amazing. Love the dessert ????. Definitely recommend to everyone, look forward to coming back ????????

Very cute restaurant (and name!). Was in a rush to catch the train so the staff somehow made the most delicious albondigas in record time. Magic.

A little difficult to find but the whole neighbourhood (Composers' Quarter) was well worth the visit. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Hamburg.

Gorgeous hidden away tapas restaurant, ran by a lovely and welcoming team. We instantly felt welcomed and were guided through the menu. The chef served us after cooking and explained the ingredients behind the dishes which made the experience extra special. You could tell the restaurant is passionate about quality food and hospitality. We came here for a bite to eat after visiting a local craft beer bar call Bar Oorlam which is the street behind. Would recommend a visit! The chef also gave us a complementary dish to try and this demonstrated a true passion for cooking and experimentation. The parmesan potatoes were amazing!!The restaurant is small and very cosy, you feel right at home. Thankyou very much for our lovely evening.

Food is a taste explosion with amazing balance in the dishes and the quality of both meat and vegtables is at its best!
The bacon wrapped dates, Pimientos de
Padtron and the curry-zucchini took us by surprise and I hope they will still be on the menu the next time we get the chance to visit!

The restaurant is very small and personal with cosy design. Staff really makes you feel welcome and the chef was also out talking about his food when he had the chance which really makes you feel very looked after.
We had our dog with us and got a good corner seat and she could relax as much as us during the meal.

Amazing place and will be back on our next Hamburg trip no doubt!

Absolutely love this restaurant! A small indoor seating area (sits about 16) and a lovely outdoor area that is nicely lit.

The food came quickly and taste delicious, a good mix of refreshing and savory tapas that we really enjoyed.

We (clearly) over ordered as usual and the lovely chef and waiter actually went down the hatch into the basement to help us find containers to doggybag our food away! Probably the nicest servers in Germany we have met, and we truly appreciate the entire experience!

A great little find only 5 minutes from our hotel. On a Sunday evening this small restaurant was full, and I can understand why. The staff were friendly and service was great. There is a good variety of tapas on the menu that are cooked by a passionate chef. He came out from the small kitchen after our meal to chat to us and then offered us a complimentary shot with him. Can’t recommend this place enough, definitely book a table!

Just enjoyed a fabulous meal at Le Golden Igel. We were a big group and the chef and his staff were incredibly inviting. Being a large group, we had the opportunity to try most of the tapas on the menu. The chorizo, shrimp, meatballs, zucchini, potatoes, carrots and rocket salad with tomatoes were only a few of the fantastic tapas. I’d would highly recommend you give this small and inviting restaurant a try when you are in Hamburg. The personal attention and hospitality will be remembered. Phil, our chef gave us all an experience. At the end of the night we were all treated with a special dessert and finally schnapps that were provided as a thank you and giving to us on the house. Thank you Phil and the entire staff at Le Golden Igel for a special evening.
