What a gem! During covid you have to call in, because it's tiny an can fit only 10 people. We called while on the way, and got a description on how to find it. Easiest to go by bus, they buzz you in and after a minute you see the building. The staff was super friendly and gave us an overview of the place. Some cases werea work in progress, everything that's there is super informative already, should only get better! They explain the additives and the problems about declaration. The process of the production of many additives from milk, for example, is visualized. Definitely worth the trip!

This awesome little museum is a treasure. Great location, don't be put off by the unfriendly gates. Learn the additives through the ages. The museum is informational and doesn't overtly promote a particular position on Food additives.

Tip: download a translation app (e.g. Google Translate) to your phone before you go. All the information is in German but easily translates using the offline live image translate.

Great little gem of a museum. Styled after a grocery store, just with no food but with all sorts of food additives and colourings on display. I think not all of the displays had English descriptions when I was there last time (2016 I think that was).
