Out experience at Cafe Johanna is absolutelky amazing! We had the best breakfast in Hamburg! Food was fresh and personell was super friendly and warm. 100% recommended!

Once again I would like to make a review about this place indicating that the food is good BUT the service is a deseaster. I stay a lot of times at Landungsbrücken and once in a while I try to go to Café Johanna to see how things are going. I always see that it's quite busy, always people sitting there and I went to experience it for myself. And everytime I order a very few things, this time only 2 croissant and 2 black coffees...40 MINUTES waiting!!! At 20 min they (3 persons were working at that moment) brought the coffee and then 20 min late the croissant...I mean the coffees became cold at the time the croissants were served and they supposed to come together. In the end it wasn't a cozy experience at all. To be fair the waitress apologized for the delay. Well let's see next time if it gets better.

As previous reviewers already mentioned it took some time to get the attention of the waitress (not too long to be honest) and we were ready to order. We expected the food to arrive really late but were surprised that it came rather quickly.
Quality was good - the price for the bread maybe a bit too much 1,20€. Coffee was ok-ish.
The staff os friendly and the cafe has nice atmosphere we were sitting outside.

Very cosy place, where you can see many locals, but they still have an English menu. Other than cakes, they have a good choice of panini and scrambled eggs. Vegan options are also available. Be prepared to pay with cash, as they accept only German debit cards.

The best place in Hamburg to sit down for a hole day enjoy the time and just wait, read and eat.
The food is awesome. It was brought to my attention that they do make everything themself.
On the weekends it is quite stuffed but there’s no reason to wonder about that.
