Not sure why not showing in the Google map but recommended to visit the cafe called Maxim on the 3rd floor. Nice view available with good coffee or drinks and cakes. Department it self is normal and small with high end brands.

High end department store with many floors. One floor for accessories and beauty, one floor for menswear, one for womenswear and one floor (the most exciting one in my opinion) for gourmet food, specialty teas, magnificent collection of drinks, truffle section and a Japanese restaurant. There is also an outlet part to grab some good designer pieces at bargain deals.

Great high end boutique store! It's sale time therefore it's your time to pick up something!

The Alsterhaus is like London's Harrods in Hamburg but with smaller individual departments inside and overall less interesting to 'window shop'. It's filled to the brim with brand clothes shops of small individual size, so the overal selection of brands is large but the individual selection is rather small.
The price tags in this store are more something for window shoppers or the wealthy though, as a simple T-shirt can go for 520€ for instance.

Still, nice to browse to at least once to get a feel what particular brands are about.

Lovely warehouse full of designer clothes. I really had to restrain myself to not try all kinds of clothes on and buy beautiful stuff that I'm ultimately not going to wear. I enjoyed the shopping experience.

The only thing I find outstanding is the perfume section, as they have some specialty brands you don’t easily find anywhere else in the city.
Other than that, the place is underwhelming for a “luxury” place: service is disastrous, both because there’s nobody to help you most of the time, and because when you finally get some help it’s far from expectations.
If you’re interested in the kind of luxury products that are sold here, you’re probably better off just flying to another European capital instead.

We’ve been to Alsterhaus during the short open period in March 2021 and it has been a very good and safe experience. The online reservation of a time slot was easy and quick, a welcoming person was at the door to check the reservation and accordingly the Alsterhaus was relatively empty during the visit.

The shop was super well organized, the selection was fantastic and the sales assistants were very helpful and respectful towards CV-19 measures (which is very important to me).

A great visit and a nice change given the only-online shopping experience we had in the last months.
