This is a great hotel at a great location (walking distance from most sights, next to the train station). The rooms are nice (with A/C) and clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. Due to Corona measures, we had to take breakfast in the room instead of downstairs, which turned out to be great with our park-view window.

Parking your car is a bit of a hassle: the parking garage is tiny and not suitable for modern (big) cars. I'd recommend to park once and leave the car in the garage and do everything by foot, or come by train.

I want to deduct half a star due to:
- bathroom is dated and needs some upgrading; I expected better for a 4-star hotel.
- the mattresses were hard, while the pillows were really soft (I had to stack multiple); not the best bed ever, although not so uncomfortable to ruin your night.

But I can't give half stars so 5 stars it is.

Lovely small hotel with charming and welcoming staff. Close to train station and Altstadt. Has much to recommend.

Very friendly and nice staffs, very organized (since taking a reservation, giving information, breakfast procedures, until check out). Impressive.

The room is huge especially for me and my husband. The beds are comfortable, 2 TV, they have air conditioning and heater too. Wi-Fi, room telephones are also positive point of this hotel. Easy to talk to staffs. The parking is limited, so better if you reserve it first. €15/day. Near hotel there is also parking in the basement but I don’t know the rates
Attention with the elevator (lift) because it’s small and the door can hit you hard if you don’t in/out quickly ????

Very close to old town, surrounded by few shops and near train station.

Perfect for a few nights. The rooms are nice and the bath is reasonably big. They have AC which isn’t a given in Germany and there is a Safe in the room if you want to store smaller valuables.

You are offered a drink at the arrival, they bring your your luggage to your room if the room isn’t available when you check in too early and they have a parking garage below the building. The choice of breakfast isn’t too big but I liked everything that they had, didn’t feel cheap.

The location is great as it is very central. You don’t need to take your car or bike to go through Freiburg, the Freiburger Münster is within less than 10min slow walking distance.

I subtracted one star because
- the breakfast area is pretty small so you might not get a table at peak hours
- the Parking Garage is kinda small so if you come with big cars you really need to hug the walls
- it’s 2019 and you still have „Hard“-keys instead of just room cards. If you share a room, you can’t split up.

I recommend a visit if they are available and your budget allows it.

The people here were absolutely wonderful. Very welcoming, kind, helpful. They clearly take pride in the hotel and in what they do.

Breakfast was fabulous, small but with just the right offerings (cold meats, fish and cheese, various sweet and savory breads, several yougurts and fruits, plus sausages and scrambled and soft boiled eggs). There are multiple juice options, bubbly, and you are also offered choice of tea or coffee, including cappuccino.

The room (356) was adorable, very comfortable and just right for two (my daughter and I; separate twin beds so this particular room may not be the right one for a couple). Great view of park with small vineyard, beautiful steeple beyond and mountain/hills beyond that.

Location was perfect; a few minute walk from train station and right on the edge of the Old Town. Highly recommend this hotel.

The worst experience of my life. The reception staff is deceitful, rude, hateful and narrow-minded. They charged me 150 Euros for a single night, with no complimentary meal, not even a complimentary bottle of drinking water. The mini bar had a chocolate, but it had no price mentioned for it on the rate card. I assumed it was part of the hospitality. BUT THE RECEPTION STAFF CHARGED ME 2 EUROS FOR ONE TINY PIECE OF CHOCOLATE. I request that no one, with any ounce of dignity or self respect should ever visit this hotel. It is filled with hateful, condescending staff and they are making a business out of swindling unsuspecting foreigners of their money. I felt humiliated, looted and discriminated against at this hateful hotel which is exhorting money for below average facilities. Please , I request no one, atleast no Indian should ever visit this place. Thank you.
