Wasn’t particularly impressed by the consultation. More problem-oriented than solution-oriented, rigid and uncreative in his approach to situations. The information on their website was out of date. Whether your consultation actually lasts the full hour does not matter, you pay the same amount of money.

In the end I went for a second opinion and was happier with the other service I received. I expect a tax consultant to have various solution suggestions when they present a problem; not just to state the problem and then have their client figure it out for themselves.

The lawyer also told me he'd forward me the information for some of his contact in the Netherlands who could perhaps help me further, but never did so.

Christian, Maren and Lina are fantastic to work with. This was the first time I actually didn't dread doing my taxes!? They're extremely professional, quick, efficient, and friendly. I recommend Rechts- und Steuerberatung Schmidt to any expat in Germany!

I've been working with Herr Schmidt since 2016. His services are absolutely impeccable. Every problem I've ever had is solved with one single email to him. Even the smallest of errors in my invoicing and paperwork are caught by him. Oh -- and all of his services are offered in both German and English.

Dealing with the German tax and financial bureaucracy can be so overwhelming. Working with Herr Schmidt makes what is normally a difficult process remarkably simple.
