Absolutely amazing Chinese cuisine. We had dinner here at 6pm and chose from the yum char menu. the food was tasty, delicious and authentic. service was quick and we didn't wait long for our food. we tried a range of dishes from pork dumplings, Sui Mai, noodles, beef tendons and chicken feet. definitely recommend this restaurant if you are after authentic Chinese cooking

Dim Sum !!!!

I approve that here is authentic and most of costumers are Asian !!! The service is like home by sweety aunties.

I have tried several Dim Sums, I would say Har Gow and Radish Cake are good. The Xio Long Bao is not that satisfied for me. Duck duck is great as well. The price is super reasonable and you can visit during happy hour time that Dim Sum price reduce around 20 cent per dish.

One of my favorite restaurants in DU.
Dim sum is one of the few cuisines that’s both delicious and healthy, and I fell in love with it during my University time in Canton, China. After trying several dim sum restaurants in DU, I have to say that New City is the best choice, by far. The taste is authentic and the price is reasonable. I visit it almost every week. If you enjoy dim sum, New City won’t disappoint.
HOWEVER (here’s a big however), if you’ve never tried dim sum before, beware that it is not a westernized popular Chinese food. It took a northern Chinese, such as myself, some time to really appreciate and enjoy the food. So please keep an open mind when trying it out, with the knowledge that you’ll encounter something (possibly drastically) unfamiliar.

Really tasty dim sum with friendly and efficient service. The congee was also wonderful! The Siu Mai stole the table for me though, clearly made from scratch and not the premade stuff a lot of restaurants use. Will definitely be back.

Amazing selection of small dishes that all taste great! I was blown away by more than one dish. For instance, their steamed yeast dumplings are amazing.

Authentic hk dim sum . Fantastic. Will definitely come again .
You order with a single sheet of paper- a condensed chinese menu and indicate the number of each order, which is exactly how u do it in asia! Just match the index number to the row on the sheet and indicate how many you want.
Very good menu selection with pictures for those who have no idea what to order. You can look at what we ordered as we took a picture of the order card/form

Highly recommended:
1. A42 cheong fun.
2. x2 sweet walnut pau
3. A7 chicken feet
4. A15 teochew flour kuih
5. A19 stuffed taro fritters
Porridge was also fantastic !

Staff speak chinese , cantonese German and even English .

We came slightly after lunch time on a sunday and were lucky to have a seat, though there was no queue outside.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s one of the most legit places in Düsseldorf for Dim Sum. Prices are reasonable. Usually we’d end up paying 20-25€ per person including drinks.
