I‘ve been to Breuninger Düsseldorf several times and the shopping experience got worse every time. If your appearance and clothing doesn’t fit their target group, they would hesitate to even look at you, let alone greet or help you shopping. A few weeks ago, I was looking through their parfum section and the service employees there didn’t say a word to me. Instead, they looked at me condescending and when I went further away from them they started gossiping about me and my friends?
Also, I experienced while looking at the items in the sunglasses section the employees, which didn’t say a word to me, disrupted me by standing in the way and working on the shelf i wanted to look at. The worst thing is that I noticed how friendly they were to other customers, which were OBVIOUSLY wearing designer clothing with logo prints…
So apparently, you can’t expect to be treated like you would expect it from a LUXURY retailer and I would recommend to everyone going to the stores on the KÖ instead, if you are looking for something specific. I‘m not going to Breuninger Düsseldorf anymore, because I think this is absolutely outrageous and you shouldn’t treat potential customers like trash.
