This hotel really provides great value at a competitive price, I can highly recommend a stay at Aviv.
Seems it's a tiny hotel, but it offers spacious rooms with nice old solid wooden furniture, big properly equipped bathroom. Their staff is very friendly and helpful, they offer some advices (reception opened until 22:00).This is very tourist-friendly hotel, with a parking, located next to a tram/bus stop, so it's very convenient to just leave a car there and change for Dresden public transportation. Hotel offers maps of the city, umbrellas, they sell bus/tram tickets, which is very convenient because the closest tram stops don't have a ticket machine.
Last but not least, their breakfasts are amazing! In their restaurant you'll find couple of warm dishes (sausages, bacon, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs with and without ham), lots of salads, pickles, fresh vegetables, yogurts, at least 6 jars with different jams (from strawberries to mango), couple types of honey, fresh fruits (I loved that they offered a bit less typical fruits, like melon); selection of cheeses, hams. Second part of their buffet is set next to reception. They large selection of breakfast cereals and toppings, literally dozens of teas (not tea in bags but leaf tea and sets to brew the tea), juices and basket of oranges next to a hand press juicer. I was amazed, because this hotel is quite cheap, but their breakfasts are outstanding, compared to other *** or even **** hotels.
Only issue is that a room on the ground floor comes with a window overlooking the sidewalk. For a short stay it's not that bothering, but there is no privacy, the curtains cannot be moved aside otherwise the interior of the room can be seen from the outside.
