Gaststätte Oma is located in the Cotta district and is a bit hidden, but that shouldn't stop you from visiting and enjoying traditional German food. This Gaststätte is, among other things, popular among Germans.

The food is well done and served with a small salad.
They offer wine, Bier and tea and coffee, perfectly matching one of their sweets, such as the typical ones like Kalter Hund and Quarkkeulchen mit Apfelmus.

The ambience is homely and one just feels welcome. It displays antiques and has an old TV with black and white movies.

You have the option to eat outdoors.

I recommended this place without doubt.

Certainly this place worth paying a visit. Little far away from city center, but cosiness and food and service quality make this place awesome. We planned to take alittle break there on our way, but end up staying over 1.5 hrs. Great cudos to owner and team.

Lovely place to eat. Food tasty and portions huge! They even have options for kids that aren’t listed on the menu. The waiter was really friendly and spoke English once he realised we did! Highly recommended!

Loved it here. Such a relaxing and homely place to eat. The staff are sweet and the menu is offered in other languages also. Can highly recommend it to anyone wishing to try out German cuisine

Very cute little place with nice terrace oustide. Had roasted pork neck, Cheese soup and Russian soup for appetizer... We would definately reccomend this place????.

Nice cosy place with great decorations. I didn’t like the Käsespäzle, too greasy and not near to the classic version; i was for the Schnitzel there and they didn’t have it on the menu ???? Nice personal and good by the way????

I enjoyed my meal at this place, which offers essentially German home cooking "just like at Grandma's".
