Staff was very kind and helpful. But for a modern hostel our room seemed to lack basic modern conveniences. We had to use our own lock for the lockers instead of a locking system, and there werent outlets for each bed. These would be fine if it was an older hostel, but trying to be modern and not providing these is silly. Other than that it's clean and good location

Location: great. A bit south of the main cathedral. On the sixth floor of a building, so you need to realistically take the elevator both up and down.
Rooms: very clean. Enjoyable stay. Best shower I have seen in a hostel yet.

One of the nicest hostels I’ve ever stayed in! Room was ready early, and was provided a large towel at no cost(unheard of). The room had its own bathroom that looked almost brand new and was spotless. All on top of it’s fantastic location. 11/10 will be returning!

The hostel is perfect in all ways: very, very clean; a kitchen for your use; ideally located in the city center; a supermarket downstairs working until late; smiling hostel staff. Many opportunities to go out eating (Vietnamese, Thai, German, Italian, you name it). Wonderful experience!

This hostel is quite nice, clean and well located, but miss a hostel vibe. All the time I was there and used the common areas I didn´t see much social going on. Maybe they need a bar. Is quiet, and the bathroom was good.

The hostel was great overall. Very clean and modern with a great location. The rooms are private and segregated so it's not the best place to meet people and definitely no parties here. My only complaint is that the wifi is terrible. It might not seem like a big deal, but when that's all you have to communicate with your family and to get around, it is pretty important.

The Cologne Downtown hostel is located in a perfect location near the center of historic Cologne, and is walking distance from the train station and all main attractions, including the Cathedral. Check-in was quick, and the accommodations were simple and decent. Our four-bed bunk room had its own bathroom/shower, which was a huge plus. The only annoyance is that the hostel is located several stories up, and the tiny elevator is usually slow and full.
