To eat a Currywurst is a must in Berlin, but not a lot of places are as good as Wittys.
Directly on Wittenbergplatz, across from KaDeWee, is the small stand that has a huge recognition value.
The organic sausage has been convincing customers for over 30 years and its unique sauce recipe is a Berlin classic in terms of taste.

We recommend trying the classic sausage with a roll. Although the shop offers also other small dishes like Pommes.

A big disadvantage is that you can probably eat currywurst a lot cheaper somewhere else in the area.
Especially in the last few years, the price has risen sharply and is no longer commensurate with the quality.
We always liked coming here and would have given it 4 stars, but unfortunately it's only enough for 3.
One of the point is also that the competition has increased significantly for that price.

This was my first Currywurst when I arrived in Berlin and the curry taste was quite good, (coming from South East Asia my level of curry acceptance is relatively high) the sausage skin was a little but crispy which Iike it, nice little kiosk go have your Currywurst. But for the price of 3.90€ for the sausages only it's relatively on a high price tag.

You really need to be careful here. I payed my food and was waiting for my change. The man didn’t give me any back so I asked for it. He claimed that he already gave it to me and I had to argue with him to get it back. The amount was over 10€ and because he claimed to have given it he didn’t mistake it for a tip. While I was in the line I saw this happen to an other person too. They claimed he did not pay anything and needs to pay again. They don’t give receipts so its going to be your word against theirs.The food is tasty but in the expensive side. I would not recommend it based on my experience!

my friend ordered a bratwurst. the man said “fries?” and she said “no, bratwurst.” they gave her fries. i went up to the counter and explained the misunderstanding. the man did not believe me and then proceeded to ignore me and not fix the order. (i got the sausage before and it was mediocre).

Currywurst hut in the shadow of Kaufhaus des Westerns. The sliced Bratwurst was very nice, piping hot, freshly grilled. The curry sauce was disappointing. Just seemed more like a nice tomato ketchup.
