The owner was very rude. I asked for a little cold water because the coffee was so hot. He wouldn’t give me any and kept trying to make me buy a bottle of water. Would not recommend.

These people only serve German speaking whites, if you are a minority they will make you wait there indefinitely. Pretty racist.

We visited this Kamps at least four times during our 9 day visit in Berlin.
Pros:
* The staff is mostly nice
* The pastries are very good, which is surprising since Kamps is a chain store
* The place is cozy
* It's near the underground station
Cons:
* The staff doesn't always speak English, at least not at a level where you don't have to repeat yourself a couple of times.
* The bathroom tended to be "kaput" (German for "broken") during three of our four visits to the place
* If your lactose intolerant, you can forget about soy milk during the last three hours before closing
* Lines can be a bit long, especially during the morning
* The coffee's quality isn't always the same, since on one day it can be good and on others, especially during the last hours till closing, it can taste burnt, due to water being overheated
All in all, it's a nice place to sit and get good pastries, but be aware that you might not always get the full experience which you might expect from a place such as this one.

Great place for fresh daily baked goods! Grab a caffeine drink and you are good to go.

Enjoyed their bakery products with a cup of coffee. All at a reasonable price.
