Definitely not the "VAPIANO Experience". They no longer seem to allow ordering with the chef direct. Had to choose from a menu and order at the bar. This took away half the fun of coming to this place. The space is rather congested too, with queues at the bar for ordering filling up the walkway from the entrance to the seating. The staff really pays very little attention to the customers, nor did they seem particularly happy to be there. I guess it's good if you don't want to be disturbed ????. Now the food, well it was okay. But it was underwhelming overall, from presentation to taste. The spaghetti was clumped together with the top over baked and near crispy - almost as if they took a prepped bowl of pasta added in whatever was requested and left under the heat lamp and served with some grated cheese. Hopefully, they bring back the fresh pasta experience. Would recommend it if you are coming off a long journey and just jonesing for some pasta/carbs.

On another note, they do have a bar and a lot of vegan options on the menu.

Our noodles looked and tasted really good but the staff seemed a little bit lost. First 5 minutes we didn‘t have any fork and knife to eat, because it wasn‘t clean and when we got some it wasn‘t at all.

My favorite vapiano in Berlin. Usually not crowded, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and good food. In my opinion the most "proper" restaurant offer in the main train station.

Made the mistake of going there for a much awaited meal after a long travel. They've managed to complicate the whole ordering and paying process. But mainly, the food was far from the mark.
Cold uncooked pasta was mixed with preserved tomato sauce. The tomato mozzarella salad was equally average with little to no dressing and effort.
The beer was the reason I was able to fill up before leaving. Never going there again for a meal. Drinks before the start of a holiday, maybe.

I came here twice. First experience: the service was slow, although it was almost 11pm; pasta dont worth the price (I ordered carbonara - not tasty, a lot of cream, miss the egg yolk) ; pinsa and salads are good! ; Staff friendly and polite; there was not knifes available; space full. The second experience (lunch): the service was quicker, the staff was not nice; salads (the same salad ordered before) came with more ingredients and looked even better.
At general I recommend it. Food is not bad. The view is nice.

The service staff are nice and ambience here is not bad too. However the food I ordered is rather below average :( Ordered an arrabiata with chicken breast, but chicken meat is less than 10 pieces I think, no taste of chilli at all, and linguine was somehow very oily and starchy tasting. Tried to add chili oil and pepper but did not help with the taste. Other items my friend ordered (rissoto) seemed slightly better.

The pizza was worth half its price, the ingredients' quality was worse than the other Vapianos I went to. The order process is not explicit : you don't order your pasta where pasta is written for example. You have to order at the bar and there is a line because everyone has to order there. Also, they didn't have the gluten free options written on their menu.
